I wish I were enjoying a quiet evening working on this week’s chapter, but unfortunately, I’m writing this post from the emergency room. I apologize if this post isn’t coherent.

While dog-sitting for my parents and walking the family dog, we were attacked by another dog. I fared better than my dog, but I’m currently in the hospital for my injury while she undergoes emergency surgery at the vet.

I’ve tried to stick diligently to my once a week schedule throughout life’s many ups and downs. However, this week, I’ve made the difficult decision to postpone Thursday’s chapter until next week.

Please send your love and positive energy to me, my dog, and my family, because we very much need it right now.

PS: I now have great sympathy for Sam, as I’ve learned having part of a finger bitten off SUCKS. 😦
